Planning was labour-intensive. Data had to be gathered manually from 21 source systems. The monthly planning cycles were produced as manually built presentations, error-prone and hard to trace.
What insert digital developed and put into operation
A central planning dashboard that automatically consolidates the data from all 21 systems and flags errors early. The monthly planning cycles are generated automatically instead of prepared by hand. Change orders go to the workshops with clear traceability and accountability.
A smaller team now plans many times the vehicles it could before.
